it's a new year, and...
...a new blog. i haven't been writing much for some time now, and i look forward to changing that with this blog. i'm a livejournal transplant, and am happy to put my (un)predictable post-adolescent outbursts behind me. since this all feels so alien again, i'd like to dispense a few unrelated nuggets, none of which could really be considered "topics":

- i don't normally type all lowercase, but my shift key entered an alfredo sauce-induced coma a few weeks back, and doesn't show any signs of recovering. new keyboard news tba.
- for those of you familiar with tucson, you're probably also familiar with the 4th ave. underpass, right? you know, the one under construction, sandwiched between all the signs, fences, posts, and other blatant diversionary equipment? i'd like to take this moment to discourage you all from exploring the dark innards of the tunnel without a flashlight. and by exploring, i mean running at full-speed through the underpass as the result of an overly ambitious sense of adventure during your nightly run. click here to see what happens where the sidewalk ends. shel silverstein was full of shit.
